Last week, we invited Romy Taylor to open our Home Session series — a new project spotlighting stripped-back performances in intimate spaces.

From the moment the session began, Romy created a quiet kind of magic. Her vocal control, melodic instincts, and storytelling came together with ease — grounded by her chemistry with Seth on keys, whose playing echoed her energy and elevated the space.

Across the session, Romy moved between intricate vocal runs and raw simplicity, shifting moods with intention. Her fusion of alternative, atmospheric sounds and infectious melodies, paired with introspective lyrics that lean into emotional nuance and vivid imagery, created a deeply immersive experience.

This session marks the beginning of Groove’s Home Sessions — created to give emerging artists the space to be heard, seen, and felt on their own terms. More soon.
